Ever the epitome of sophistication, Angelina Jolie surprised fans this week when she stepped out in a dressed-down (but still chic) look for a solo outing in Los Angeles.

The actress was seen leaving an office building in Beverly Hills Wednesday in a sleek all-black ensemble—à la Tomb Raider's Lara Croft—made up of a cropped tank which exposed her belly button, pleated wide-leg trousers, chunky platform sandals, and the celebrity It Bag of the season: Yves Saint Laurent's quilted lambskin shopping bag.

She kept her accessories simple, wearing only inky black sunglasses, a delicate gold necklace with a single diamond, and thin gold hoop earrings. Her beauty look was also natural: loose straight hair and seemingly no makeup.

The mom of six has long been known for her elevated, minimalistic style, often choosing classic black, white, or neutral pieces and understated accessories.

This past weekend, the Those Who Wish Me Dead star wore another monochrome black look to meet the cast of Dear Evan Hansen in Philadelphia with daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 14. The outfit consisted of a wrap sundress that tied around the waist and featured billowing sleeves. She styled the piece with another Yves Saint Laurent bag from her closet, and her favorite sunglasses and delicate jewelry.

And last week, Jolie was photographed looking effortlessly graceful in a white wrap sundress, ivory woven Valentino sandals, and a slouchy oatmeal-colored cardigan. Her timeless accessories included her go-to jewelry and sunglasses, as well as a mini box shoulder bag by Dior.
